I grew up in Los Angeles, CA, and moved to Missouri my freshman year of high school. I graduated college from Everest Community College in Springfield, MO, with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. I am a mother of two beautiful daughters and have been blessed with a son-in-law and two grandbabies. I have been a dedicated member of the Toshua Barnes-McCormick State Farm Agency team since 2009 in Stockton, Missouri. As Office Manager, I primarily operate our Stockton office location, where I am licensed to serve the State of Missouri. Helping individuals and families protect and personalize their home, auto, farm, and life insurance policies has become a passion of mine, and I look forward to many more years pursuing this career and my community. Beyond the office, community involvement is another avenue I am passionate about in Stockton. I am currently a board member on the Stockton City Park Board and I participate in our local Chamber community events. My husband, Gary, our sons and I moved to El Dorado Springs, Missouri, in 1986 coming from Minnesota. We have always loved the country and smaller communities, and we proudly raise, train, and show Quarter Horses. Our boys are married, with one living near St Louis, MO, and another near Houston, TX. We are blessed with 3 granddaughters and 4 great-grandchildren. My diverse career path began as a dog groomer for many years with the El Dorado Springs Veterinary Clinic. I then spent several years at Ortho-Flex Custom Saddlery near Nevada, MO, selling and fitting saddles to horse and riders across the country and the world. When that company was sold and moved out of state, I transitioned my experience to the cellular phone and service industry in 1998. Working with local citizens and businesses in a 5-county area was rewarding, knowing a mobile phone could make us all more efficient and safer. After the cellular companies grew and merged, I decided to end that career. In 2010, when Toshua needed a temporary person to fill a position, I started my relationship with State Farm. We were already long-time insured with State Farm ourselves. I am now the staff and claims assistant at the Toshua Barnes-McCormick Agency in El Dorado Springs, where I assist our customers with their auto, home, and life insurance needs. Some might think I am of retiring age, but I truly love the staff here and enjoy the interaction with our customers.
